Reviews, Reviews, Reviews!!!

A lot of reviews coming soon

So much has been going on recently. Finally companies are now taking me seriously when it comes to doing reviews. Convar are sending me some of their brand new ByteSpotter hard drives to check out. Powermat have sent me one of their chargers for the iPhone and RotoLight are sending over their interview kit. Hopefully more companies will start to take me seriously when it comes to good honest reviews.

I got a new graphics card

XFX 9800GT 512MB DDR3 CUDA

My new GEForce 9800 GT

So I just installed my new graphics card, an XFX Geforce 9800gt. It has 512mb DDR3 Memory which runs at 1600Mhz, a 600Mhz GPU, 112 Processing Cores and has Nvidia PhysX Technology along with CUDA Technology. So what does this mean? Well a GPU can process graphics data a lot more efficiently than a CPU. Instead of processing one bit of information at a time, like a tradition CPU, the GPU just blasts it all out at once.

My Site Got Hacked

So there I was just updating my website on my local server and I needed a bit of code from my old site. So I opened up my browser typed in boofly.com into the address bar, waited, and nothing but a message telling me "Forbidden", what the...?

Joomla SuperFish Module Fix

I was working on a site where I needed a simple menu system to put along the top of the site. After trying lots of different one I came across "Superfish Dropdown Menu" and it worked great. Apart from one little bug, when you set the menu to Horizontal and had a Separator as the main menu link it did not look like the rest of the links. So at first I thought it may be I had an old version, but no newer versions had been released. So then I went to http://users.tpg.com.au/j_birch/plugins/superfish/ and tired updating all the .JS files but again nothing changed. This lead me to the CSS file, so after a little digging around I found the tags that governed the look of the links and then changed a few things around and bish bash bosh it worked.

Twitter Background for @dubtwestival

Yesterday I design a Twitter background for @dubtwestival and they liked it and now have it as their Twitter background.

As I normally do in the mornings I had a bit of a surf around TwitterLand and to my surprise found a few other people had downloaded and are now using the same background. It is great that other people like my work and hopefully there are more of you out there.
